Highlighting Client Community Service

Lopez Island, WA, United States

Touching lives is a way of life!

For our July blog, we wanted to take a moment and BRAG about some of the fantastic clients we work with daily. Instead of highlighting what they do best in the automotive world, we would take this blog to highlight what they do for their communities behind the scenes.

Foothill Auto Service

Foothill Auto Service has been directly impacted by losing a loved one due to a brain tumor. As a shop & a family, we want to share and educate our clients and others about the work that the National Brain Tumor Society does and how you can support them alongside us. This shop and its staff will be participating in the Northern California Brain Tumor Walk & Race - on June 26, 2022, at Crissy Field, Presidio of San Fransisco -1199 E Beach, San Francisco, CA 94129

The Northern California Brain Tumor Walk & Race community will come together on June 26, 2022, to raise awareness and funds to support the needs of brain tumor patients and their families.

John's Automotive Care La Mesa.

One of the most recent causes John's Automotive Care La Mesa has been a part of was a local high school shoe drive. "Shoes for a Cause." The school will earn funds based on the weight of the total shoes donated. Lincoln High School is located in southeast San Diego and has been affected and continues to feel the global pandemic's effects. The funds will go directly into their ASB program, give back to its students, and grow its ASB program.

They have even donated multiple vans to organizations in need; take HomeFront San Diego as an example.

John's Automotive's staff is ecstatic to be involved with the local HomeFront San Deigo organization by providing transportation for them for years to come in the form of a van. This local organization helps to bridge the gaps when our military families are in need & John's is thrilled to pitch in and help.

Boys & Girls Club "Cars for Kids" Fundraiser!

John's Automotive Care is proud to be part of the Boys & Girls Club program called "Cars for Kids." John Eppstein, the owner of John's Automotive Care, has a personal connection with the Boys & Girls Club organization, having grown up within the program and has made this cause that is so dear to him one of his company's charitable endeavors. The "Cars for Kids" program provides funds to keep the Boy's and Girls club's doors open and helps keep the costs lower than $50 per kid per year.

John's Annual Toy Drive

Since 2001, John's Automotive Care has reached out to our loyal customers for the opportunity to give back to the community. Please join our Toy Drive and bring a new, unwrapped toy into our shop. This helps provide toys for hundreds of children who may be going without anything for Christmas.

Nealey's Auto Service

Our clients deeply care about the communities around them, and that mindset shined in a Maryland community after a tragedy. An Edgewater family lost nearly everything in a house fire because a propane tank near the back of the home exploded without warning. Nealey Auto Service jumped and rallied for the cause as soon as they heard and began calling out in the community to raise funds for the family. Everything from anonymous donations (one at $7,000) to clothing and food has been collected at the auto shop. Another great way to raise money for this family was through their reward program. In the past, Nealey's has run campaigns where customers can donate their rewards to a cause or charity. Nealey's transferred the points into dollars using Pit Crew Marketing's eWardMe 22 rewards program.

"It was amazing the response that we got. Anonymous donations were also dropped off at the front office to help the family. Just everyone wanting to give back and help this family out," said Nealey.

He said they wouldn't hesitate to do something like this again.

Walt's Auto Service

Walt's Auto Service, located at 340 Van Ness Ave suite c, Torrance, CA 90501, participates in supporting a charity golf tournament close to their hearts. The "Heartshield Project was founded after Austin McAnena collapsed and suffered Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) from an undetected heart condition at the young age of 27. With a 10% chance of surviving, Austin was saved by a Good Samaritan who went out of his way to perform CPR. Austin's heart condition went undetected like many others, with 1 in 300 youth at risk. Heartshield Project was founded to spread awareness for SCA, promote heart screenings, and provide CPR/AED training."

This fantastic organization has rallied its efforts and resources to create the 2nd Annual Heartshield Project Golf Tournament. This event will occur on Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club - Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Sign-Up and Learn more about the 2nd annual Heartshield Project here.

The crew at Bird's iSocial is thrilled to represent and work with these shops and their owners, who understand and greatly care about their communities. We couldn't be more proud of our clients!
